Affidea Portugal and IMI transform healthcare into art

What are the consequences of deficiencies and disease on bone growth and development of children and adolescents? This is the question Affidea Portugal expect to answer through the new IMI art/Affidea patronage project, a study undertaken in partnership with Simon Fraser University in Canada and the Portuguese National Museum of Natural History and Science. 

The project required the study of 70 selected skeletons dating back to the early 20th century through high-resolution CT (computed tomography). Under the guidance of Prof. Hugo Cardoso, researcher Julia Meyers will investigate the thousands of CT slices acquired in Lisbon on June 1, 2019 at the Affidea IMI Republica imaging center.”
